This is my informative speech! I decided on basically why we can't just edit our genes and what the best thing is right now for people who want to live longer. This is also my last speech of the semester! There were 4 total.

Important Update: I am keeping up this video because the ted talk was my entry into exploring biogerontology and is an important part of my past. Wow! I finally finished my speech for class. We were to create a speech on a life-changing thing for us. I chose Aubrey De Grey's speech published in 2007 called A Roadmap to End Aging. After much struggle I have finally restarted school. My goal? To graduate with my associates and move on to get my bachelor's degree in biochemistry, with perhaps a minor in gerontology. My passion is longevity. One day I will own a research laboratory that strives to increase the quality and quantity of life. I dream is that it will no longer be a question of "will I become a centenarian?" It will be a question of what to do with all that time. My hope is that everyone will get that type of opportunity. For my first post I give you my paper for college writing 2. It's about involving more diversity in biogerontology.
